After and during that wonderful creative play outside, my children are regulated and calm, ready to enjoy inside play again. The thing I notice the most after hours outside is the lack of unproductive noise. The wild play, the running and shrieking, all of that is toned down. Sure, there may be shouts and noise from them as they play, but it is, for lack of a better term, “good” noise. There is laughter in the notes and no hints of wild energy behind it.
