Amish-Made Swing Sets: What That Actually Means

When we say our swing sets are Amish-made, what do we mean?

At one time, that phrase carried a clear promise of quality and value. Today, thanks to keyword marketing and loose usage, it’s often been diluted by knock-offs and shortcuts.

So it’s fair to ask: What does “Amish-made swing sets” really mean at King Swings?

What Amish-Made Means at King Swings

For us, it means our swing sets are literally made by the Amish in Chester County, PA. Our buildings, parts, and loading bays are staffed by the local Amish community. The manufacturing crew is largely Amish.

And the office? That's a fair question because everyone knows a little bit about the Amish culture and assumes they all can not use computers or phones.

Someone has to run the computers, answer emails, and keep the lights on, so our office team is non-Amish. But rest assured, we stay far away from the tools.

What Makes an Amish Swing Set Different?

So why does it matter that a swing set is Amish-made? What should you actually expect?

An Amish swing set is well-made. Corners aren’t cut. Materials are handled with care. Details matter.

An Amish swing set is strong. The Amish work hard, and when it’s time to play, they play just as hard. These swing sets are built to handle real use, not just look good in a catalog.

An Amish swing set comes with confidence in the craftsmanship. There’s pride in the work, and that pride shows up in how the set is built and how it’s stood behind.

An Amish swing set is built by a crew that cares deeply about doing the job right. Not halfway. Not “good enough.” If they’re going to build it, they’re going to build it properly.

At King Swings, that also means your swing set is built by someone who enjoys donut Fridays, celebrates birthdays, and genuinely appreciates surprise ice cream deliveries from local favorites. And pickleball, they are big into pickleball right now. These are real craftsmen who take pride and joy in their work, and it shows.

Pride in the Craft

We take immense pride in the men who build our swing sets. They work through the heat of summer and the cold of winter so your children can play hard, safely, and for years to come.

And they love seeing the finished result in action. If you ever capture a photo of your kids enjoying their swing set, send it our way. It means more to our craftsmen than you might expect.
