As Seen on HGTV’s Rock the Block: A Backyard Built for Families
King Swings, the nation’s leading family-owned vinyl swing set and playhouse brand, is thrilled to announce that its Cosmic Launcher Swing Set was featured on HGTV’s Rock the Block: Rookies vs Vets, Season 6, Episode 606.
What Is HGTV's Rock the Block?
For those unfamiliar, Rock the Block is HGTV’s hit home renovation competition series. Each season, four teams of top designers are given identical homes and a fixed budget. Over several weeks, they transform each space—from the kitchen to the backyard—with the goal of increasing the home’s overall appraised value. The team that adds the most value wins.
In Season 6, hosted by Ty Pennington, the competition took place in Utah and featured returning “vets” versus first-time “rookies.” Each episode focuses on a different section of the home, and Episode 606 was all about the backyard.
Chelsea and Cole’s Family-First Vision
Chelsea and Cole DeBoer, rookies on the block and parents of four, brought their family-focused lifestyle to the competition. They didn’t just want a beautiful yard—they wanted to create a space where kids could thrive, explore, and play. This drove many of their decisions when planning where they would spend their money.
“We know what a family wants in a backyard,” said Chelsea. “I want to do the biggest playset we can find.”
To bring that vision to life, the DeBoers partnered with King Swings, selecting the Cosmic Launcher, one of our most expansive and dynamic sets. With features like four slides, a clear crawl tunnel, a ball pit, and multiple towers, the Cosmic Launcher became a standout element of their design—perfectly aligning with their goal of creating a backyard built for connection and fun.
When the King Swings truck rolled onto set, it made quite a scene. As the various teams gathered around, Chelsea and Cole felt pride at the attention it was getting. As Chelsea said during the episode, “I am shooketh seeing our huge playset come onto the block.”
A Major Moment for King Swings
As King Swings continues on its mission to inspire adventure and memories, the Rock the Block feature marks a significant growth milestone for the brand. From residential swing sets to fully customizable playgrounds made with premium American-made materials, King Swings proudly offers complete layouts for families nationwide. The appearance of the Cosmic Launcher on national television marks a milestone for the King Swings team. The dedication to crafting an unparalleled swing set and unbeatable customer experience has launched King Swings into the national spotlight.
“As King Swings continues its mission to inspire adventure, creativity, and lasting memories, this HGTV feature marks a meaningful milestone,” said Elmer King, CEO of King Swings. “We’ve always believed in building playsets that spark imagination and joy. Seeing one of our sets on Rock the Block was a proud and surreal moment for our team.”
